On May 31, the first glimpses emerged of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's serene meditation session at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari. After wrapping up his election campaign, PM Modi embarked on this spiritual journey, commencing on May 30. His itinerary included paying homage at the Bhagavathy Amman Temple in Kanyakumari before immersing himself in meditation at the Dhyan Mandapam. Set to meditate continuously until June 1 evening, PM Modi draws inspiration from the legacy of Swami Vivekananda, meditating at the very site where the revered sage once sought enlightenment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world’s largest meditation centre, Swarved Mahamandir in Varanasi on December 18. Swarved Mahamandir is located in Umraha, Varanasi around 12 km from the city centre. The colossal structure is a seven-story building which is spread over 3,00,000 square feet. Around 3137 verses from the spiritual text ‘Swarved’ are engraved on its walls. The Swarved is a spiritual text authored by Sadguru Shri Sadafal Deoji Maharaj. According to the temple website, around 20,000 people can sit together and meditate in the meditation centre. PM is currently on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. He was welcomed by a cheerful crowd of people on either side of the road, waving at his motorcade.
