Germany’s short-distance runner Alica Schmidt’s dream of being a model at a fashion week has become a reality.

According to The Sun, Schmidt, known as the world’s sexiest athlete, was one of the models for luxury fashion house, Hugo Boss at the Milan Fashion Week on Thursday.

Before she boarded the flight to Milan on Tuesday, Schmidt, 22, Instagrammed a picture of herself and wrote: “I get to walk at fashion week in Milan. That’s a little dream come true.”

In another post, she shared her excitement with  her 2.5 million Instagram fans after landing the modelling assignment.  “I’m in a really good mood and I’m really excited because I’m flying to Milan today,” she wrote.

Last month, the stunner revealed that she plans to take a short break from athletics after she failed to qualify for the final women’s 4x400m relay team at the Tokyo Games.
