Riding Riding on half-centuries from Bhupen Lalwani (65), Suved Parkar (50) and Tanush Kotian (50), Mumbai made 235-9 on Day One of their Ranji Trophy Group ‘B’ match against Bihar in Patna on Friday.

Put into bat, Mumbai lost Jay Bista early, but Lalwani and Parkar stitched a 91-run partnership to stabilise the innings. Shivam Dube also chipped in with a vital 41 runs. Veer Pratap Singh (4-32) was the pick of the bowlers for Bihar, while Sakibul Gani and Himanshu Singh claimed two wickets apiece. 


Meanwhile, Pacer Vasuki Koushik’s seven-wicket haul and an unbeaten fifty by Devdutt Padikkal helped Karnataka gain complete command over Punjab on the first day of their Group C Ranji Trophy match.
