Lyon striker Gomis quizzed over rape claims

Lyon's French international striker Bafetimbi Gomis was yesterday being questioned by police investigating an alleged rape, a source close to the case said

Gomis has denied all the accusations as well as insisting that he had not spent the night in custody. But a source said that Gomis was being questioned while a second player being quizzed was named as Yohan Benalouane, a former teammate of Gomis’ at Saint-Etienne, who now plays for Cesena in Italy.
