Israel Missile Attack: Houthis attack Israel with Missiles

Hours after Israeli forces restarted their assault on Gaza, Houthis launched a missile attack on Israel. Houthis said that they have carried out a "qualitative military operation" targeting Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile. The missile, identified as Palestine-2, was aimed at a military site south of Tel Aviv, according to Houthi spokesman Yahya Sarea. This marks their second such attack within 24 hours, with the group stating that they will continue their operations in solidarity with Palestinians. The Houthi spokesman said the attacks were a response to what he described as "the criminal Zionist enemy's massacres" in Gaza, as well as "American aggression" in the region.

Turkey Protests: Tensions in Istanbul soar as protests intensify

Turkey Protests: Tensions in Istanbul soar as protests intensify

Turkey is witnessing its biggest wave of protests in over a decade. The streets of Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara are filled with voices demanding justice. The reason? The detention of Istanbul’s mayor, Ekrem İmamoğlu, a man seen as President Erdoğan’s strongest political rival. İmamoğlu was taken into custody on March 19, a move his party—the Republican People’s Party, or CHP—calls politically motivated. His supporters see it as an attack on democracy itself. President Tayyip Erdoğan has issued a stern warning against the unrest, but that hasn’t deterred citizens in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and beyond. In some cities, clashes erupted as police used water cannons to disperse the crowds.

Sanjay Raut slams Disha Salian Petition, Defends Aaditya Thackeray

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, on March 20, dismissed the allegations made by Disha Salian’s father, who has called for a fresh investigation into her death and the interrogation of UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray. Raut strongly criticized those attempting to politicize the case, accusing them of trying to damage the reputation of Aaditya Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT). Raut stated that after reviewing the police investigation, he believes Disha Salian's death was an accident, not a murder. He also pointed out that Salian's father had filed a petition five years after the incident. "The politics behind this petition is clear. These people couldn't succeed with the Aurangzeb issue, and now they are trying to use the Disha Salian case to divert attention. This is dirty politics, and it is damaging the state's reputation," Raut said. He emphasized that these attempts were aimed at tarnishing the name of a young leader who has been working for the state.

In Ankara, hundreds of protesters gathered and shouted anti-government slogans. Police used pepper spray to break up the crowd, and some protesters tried to push through the police lines. A total of 100 people, including Imamoglu and other key figures, were arrested. Imamoglu and his aides face accusations of corruption, including extortion and fraud. His arrest is seen as part of a wider effort by the government to target opposition leaders, with critics calling it a move to silence dissent.
