23 November,2024 10:06 AM ISTAmid the ongoing voting in the Maharashtra Election 2024, setting an inspiring example of democracy, a 29-year-banker reached a polling booth in Virar East direct from her haldi function and cast her franchise. Her hands, face and neck were covered in haldi paste. Sayali Rajendra Vartak, the bride-to-be from Virar, came to the polling booth to cast her vote despite her busy wedding preparations. Sayali, is set to get married in Rajasthan. On the other hand, BJP MP from Mumbai’s North Constituency Piyush Goyal was seen casting a vote at one of the Borivali polling booths. People from the Transgender community were also seen exercising their voting rights. Also, a young voter from Dombivli traveled 12,500 kilometers from Canada to exercise his voting right! Voters are urged to cast their votes by 6 PM.
