Tamil Nadu’s Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji was taken into custody by ED in the wee hours of June 14. A high-voltage drama was witnessed as the state minister was seen crying in pain after ED took him into custody. 22 years ago, a similar incident happened in Tamil Nadu when DMK chief M Karunanidhi was arrested. On June 30 2001, DMK founder Karunanidhi was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police. Then also, the high political drama was witnessed when Karunanidhi was also arrested in the wee hours. In a throwback video, Karunanidhi can be seen screaming as the police forcibly took him into custody.

DDCA President Shyam Sharma gave a big update on Rishabh Sharma’s Accident, which was different from what the DGP had told earlier. Rishabh Pant got severely injured in a road accident near his hometown Roorkee. He was hospitalized after surviving a fatal accident. According to eyewitnesses, Rishabh's car collided with the divider and caught fire. The doctors said Pant suffered injuries to his forehead, back and leg. The batsman was alone in the car at the time of the accident, and according to Uttarakhand Police Director General Ashok Kumar, he broke the windscreen to get out of the burning car. Pant was not included in either the ODI or the T20I squad and the BCCI media release didn't clarify if he was injured, rested or dropped. The wicketkeeper-batter didn't feature in the ODIs in Bangladesh as well before returning for the two-match Test series.
