3 Khalistani terrorists killed in UP encounter

On December 23, a major breakthrough occurred against the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) terror group. Three Khalistani terrorists, involved in a grenade attack on a police post in Gurdaspur, Punjab, were killed in an encounter in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh. The operation was a joint effort between the UP Police and Punjab Police. After receiving information that the terrorists were hiding in Puranpur, police tracked them down. When police challenged the suspects, the terrorists opened fire, prompting the police to return fire. In the exchange, the terrorists were critically injured and later declared dead at the hospital. Police recovered two AK-47 rifles, two Glock pistols, and a large number of cartridges. Two constables were injured in the operation.

Sambhal Violence: Heavy security deployed at Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid

Days after violence in UP’s Sambhal, heavy security has been deployed at Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid head of Friday Namaz. Security forces have geared up to prevent any possible mishap in the region after the violence on 24 November. Drone camera, CCTVs, metal detectors and more advance technology tools have been brought in to keep close eyes on mischievous elements. Total 16 companies of security forces have been deployed including a Rapid Action Force team to keep a check on anti-social elements. Sambhal district court and other sensitive areas are under special surveillance to maintain peace in the area. Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Aunjaneya Kumar Singh said, “All kinds of arrangements have been made. Drone cameras are there...monitoring is being done through CCTV cameras. 16 companies have been deployed which includes one RAF...13 PSCs. We have spoken to Maulvis of Mosques...we have appealed to people to offer Namaz only in their own Mosques...we have appealed to people to come in fewer numbers to Jama Masjid...we are also monitoring social media platforms...sensitive areas are being monitored.”
