Strange incidents are happening in a village in Maharashtra’s Beed district. Troop of monkeys are taking puppies to a considerable height and throwing them down. They have killed at least 250 canines in the past month.

Around 10 kilometres from Majalgaon town in Beed is a village called Lavool. As According to the villagers the monkeys are “taking revenge”, stated a report in News 18.  They said that the whole thing started when some dogs killed a baby monkey. After this, the primates started killing pups in the area by throwing them off from the top of a tree or a building.

Residents of the village have contacted forest department officials to catch the monkeys. The forest department officials visited the place but were not able to catch even a single monkey.

Now, villagers themselves are trying to save the puppies but the monkeys are attacking them in retaliation. Some people even fell from buildings and injured themselves while trying to save pups.

Monkeys have killed almost all the pups in the village and now have started targeting children. School-going kids are being attacked by the monkeys and this has created panic among the villagers.
