The Gurugram Police have found a car that is thought to have been used to dispose of the body of former model Divya Pahuja who was shot dead in a hotel room. However, her body has not been found yet, a report in ANI stated.

According to the report, a constable from Gurugram Police's Crime Branch confirmed the news.

"The car was identified through surveillance cameras near the toll area, and it was tracked moving towards Patiala. We were looking for this vehicle concerning the death of Divya Pahuja.," Constable Karan Singh of the Gurugram Police's Crime Branch told ANI.

Singh further affirmed the identification by saying, "The colour and number plate confirm that this is the same car. The body hasn't been located, though. This car is thought to have been used to move the body following the murder."

Three persons were previously detained in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Punjabi model Divya Pahuja. The main suspect, Abhijeet Singh, is the proprietor of the motel where the tragic event occurred.

CCTV footage shows the perpetrator dragging the victim's body from the hotel to the car, according to police investigations, the ANI report added.

Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar explained: "The family of the girl named Divya (27) has alleged that Divya went with a person named Abhijeet who is the owner of a hotel...When police scanned the CCTV footage of the hotel, the crime was revealed,"

When it was alleged that Divya threatened to disclose the hotel owner's "indecent photos" to demand money, the motivation behind the crime became evident.

When Abhijeet Singh, Hemraj (28), and Omprakash (23), the three suspects, were registered at Police Station Sector-14, Gurugram, on January 3, the Gurugram Police took them into custody under related sections.

"Three accused including the main accused were arrested on January 3. The accused have been identified as Abhijeet Singh (56), Hemraj (28) and Omprakash (23). A case was registered under relevant sections in Police Station Sector-14, Gurugram. The crime team is also investigating the matter," Gurugram Police said.

The case was initiated in response to Divya's family complaint, and the criminal team is presently looking into it.
