West Delhi police arrested him from Vikaspuri on Saturday for allegedly attempting to enter his brother Balwinder Singh's house with a knife

He created a buzz in the Big Boss last year. Now 'super-chor' Davinder Singh alias Bunty is back in Tihar jail cooling his heels. The thief, who shot to fame after a Bollywood film "Oye Lucky Lucky Oye" based on his life was released, has been booked under the Arms Act.

The criminal-turned-detective allegedly barged into the house of his brother, Balwinder Singh, in Vikaspuri on Saturday evening. He was apprehended from the house and a button-actuated knife was recovered from him.
Police said his family had severed their ties with Bunty, following his alleged involvement in robberies. "We received a call from his brother who claimed that Bunty was creating ruckus at their house. When we reached the spot, we saw Bunty leaving the place. We intercepted him and search of his bag yielded a knife and he was arrested," a police official said. He was produced in Tis Hazari Court and sent to Tihar Jail for 14-day judicial custody.

The police said when Bunty was arrested on Saturday he claimed that he was a reincarnation of Lord Krishna.
"He said the Vikaspuri house belonged to him and he had every right to be there," said a senior police officer. Bunty was living in Lodhi Colony before he left that place.

Tihar Jail authorities have kept Bunty in the high-security Jail Number three with round the clock electronic and manned surveillance. They said Bunty had visited Tihar a few months back and wanted to meet a few hi-security inmates. After his release from jail, the Delhi Police had tried to rehabilitate Bunty but all their efforts failed.

"We got him a job with a detective agency, helped him with his stint with media but nothing is working with him. He is too used to his lavish life and now that he is not able to live that or stay in news he is becoming erratic," said a police officer.
