Slumdog child actor Rubina Qureshi's mother Khushu and stepmother Munni fought over the girl's custody after Rubina's father Rafiq Qureshi allegedly found it difficult to refuse Rs 1.4 crore offered to buy his daughter in a sting operation done by a UK tabloid.
What he said: "We don't raise our children to sell them. Khushi left Rubina when she was two years old. Why should we give her custody now?" Rafiq Qureshi
Status now: Rubina also acted in Kal Kissne Dekha this year, after Slumdog released.
