The blaze started around 7:30 pm in Santosh Nagar, prompting the deployment of 14 fire tenders and other equipment for firefighting operations, a Fire Brigade official stated
"There are no reports of injuries. Firefighting efforts are ongoing, with all relevant agencies and the 108 ambulance service present at the site. Further details are awaited," the official added
Several shanties have been gutted in the blaze and firefighting personnel have engaged in the dousing operations
