On Wednesday, the collective water stock in the seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to Mumbai is now at 97.86 pc, as per the information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

As per the data shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the water level in Tansa is at 96.50 per cent.
On October 11, at Modak-Sagar, 91.49 per cent of water stock is available, the BMC data showcased.

"In Middle Vaitarna 97.17 per cent, Upper Vaitarna 100 pc, Bhatsa 98.74 per cent, Vihar 98.98 per cent and Tulsi 97.61 per cent of useful water level," the BMC stated in their released data.
The seven lakes have 14,16,318 million litre of water on October 11, against the full capacity, which is around 14,47,363 million litre.
Meanwhile, despite the installation of a new water pipeline by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in Dr Subramaniam Nagar of the H-East ward Santacruz, residents continue to grapple with poor water quality and erratic supply timings.
According to the locals, the poor water quality has not only inconvenienced the residents but has also given rise to a host of health issues. The locals in the area have been reporting an increase in skin-related issues and waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and dysentery.
As per the mid-day report, many locals have resorted to purchasing bottled water regularly to meet their basic needs, further straining their finances.
The BMC's initiative to enhance the water supply infrastructure in Dr Subramaniam Nagar was anticipated to lead to substantial enhancements in both the quality and dependability of water distribution.
