A woman in South Mumbai on Monday ended her life by jumping from the 10th floor of her home at Nariman Point at around 4 am. Police sources revealed that the deceased, Lipi, aged 27, is the daughter of senior IAS officer Vikas Chandra Rastogi and his wife Radhika; she was immediately rushed to GT hospital where she was declared dead, said officials.

The deceased was studying LLB at Sonipat in Haryana and was anxious over performance in academics. She had left a note behind in which she explicitly mentioned that no one was to be blamed for her death.

Cuffe Parade police have filed an unnatural death report.
