Ajay Gosalia alias Ganda

An alleged aide of absconding gangster underworld don Chhota Shakeel, Ajay Gosalia alias Ganda, who was jailed, suddenly took seriously ill and was admitted on December 27 to Sir JJ hospital. Doctors said he has TB. Sources have revealed that his health is so bad that he cannot even eat and drink himself.

According to the police, Ganda was suffering from severe diabetes and other diseases, and as he has been in jail for two months suddenly his health deteriorated last week.

The Anti-Extortion Cell of Mumbai police arrested Ganda in the month of October in 2022, along with Shakeel’s brother-in-law and four other associates including Feroz Fazal Hussain alias Chamda; Javed Khan alias Papa Pathan and Amjad Redkar in an extortion case.

Citing ill health, Ganda had sought bail from the special court, but it refused it. Suddenly his health deteriorated and he was rushed to the JJ Hospital by the jail authorities, said an officer. His treatment is on in a ward of the hospital in the presence of guards according to doctors. They said he has TB.

Bookie-turned-builder, gangster Ganda was once a close aide of Chhota Rajan. Later he left the Rajan gang and joined Shakeel. Since then he has more than half a dozen serious criminal cases against him.
