Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that the Maharashtra government will hold a big MSME Defence Expo in Pune from February 17 to 19. The event, inspired by the tri-services pioneer Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, takes place for the first time in state history, per ANI report.

According to the report, Fadnavis used social media to show his satisfaction with the Republic Day announcement. He encouraged us to celebrate Maharashtra's rich tradition and growth together.

"On this auspicious and proud occasion of Republic Day, I take pride in announcing that the Government of Maharashtra is hosting for the first time in our history a mega MSME Defence Expo from February 17-19 in Pune."

"The Expo is inspired by the pioneer of tri-services, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Let's celebrate our rich heritage and progress together! " Fadnavis posted on X.

According to the report, earlier on Republic Day, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde raised the national flag at the Varsha Bungalow in Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed greetings on the 75th Republic Day, while President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in celebrating the Amrit Kaal trip, which followed the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to commemorate 75 years of freedom.

The 90-minute procession celebrated Viksit Bharat's cultural richness, 'Aatmanirbhar's military might, and the empowerment of Nari Shakti. French President Emmanuel Macron attended the event as the Chief Guest, observing exhibitions of defence troops, mechanised columns, cutting-edge technology, and national solidarity despite diversity, the report stated.

During French President Emmanuel Macron's State visit for Republic Day celebrations, India and France agreed to a framework for strengthening their Defence Industrial Partnership. In addition, a memorandum of intent was signed by India's Defence Ministry and France's Ministry for Armed Forces, to foster collaboration in the Defence Space Partnership, stated another ANI report.
