BJP MLA from Airoli, Ganesh Naik, has been booked for threatening a women with weapon. The women, who claims to be Naik’s live-in partner, has alleged that he threatened her with a revolver in March 2021, after she demanded that he accept their 15-year-old son.

The CBD Belapur cops have registered a case under the Arms Act against Naik. According to the complaint filed by a 48-year-old woman, she met Naik in May 1993 in a club where she was working and befriended him. They have allegedly been in a relationship since then and in November 2006, the woman gave birth to Naik’s son, but he refused to give the child his identity.

In 2021, Naik called the woman for lunch in Belapur. When the woman repeated her demands again, and asked Naik to declare that her son was his legal heir, he allegedly flashed the revolver at her.

“He said, stop harassing me else will I will kill both of us”, she said while reporting the matter to the police. On Thursday, she had written to the Nerul police and State Women’s Commission reporting sexual harassment and intimidation by Naik. Following her complaint, CBD Belapur cops booked Naik on Saturday.
