In light of the three-day mega block announced by the Central Railways, the BEST and State Transport Corporation (ST), have announced additional bus services on some routes to help passengers. 


The BEST spokesperson said, “In view of the 3-day mega block from May 31 to June 2 and to reduce the inconvenience caused to the railway travellers due to this block, BEST has announced extra buses on the routes for more number trips.”


The BEST has announced a total of 55 extra buses to be run on several routes, adding up to 486 trips. The State Transport Corporation too has announced additional trips to make sure passengers do not face major inconveniences. 


The ST spokesperson said, “Today, Thursday, after 12.30 am, a 63-hour block will commence at Thane station, and tomorrow, Friday, after 12.30 am, a 36-hour block will commence at CSMT. Due to the block, the State Transport Corporation has decided to run 50 additional buses from Kurla Nehrunagar, Parel, and Dadar stations in Mumbai to Thane.

Currently, 26 buses from the Mumbai depot and 24 buses from the Thane depot have been arranged. Depending on passenger demand, the number of buses may be increased as needed. Additional staff will be appointed at the Thane and Mumbai depots to guide passengers, according to the transport department of the ST Corporation.”
