Head to the village of Warli for an interactive session on their indigenous art

Trip out on art

One of India's oldest indigenous tribes resides in the mountains of Maharashtra. In this tranquil setting, away from the bustle of cosmopolitan life, the Warli tribe fosters a vibrant community centred around nature.

Explore their unique culture during an interactive tour, guided by famed tribal artist Sanjay Parhad. Speak with the local tribals, or purchase paintings from indigenous artisans. The highlight of the tour is a Warli art workshop, where you can try your hand at the unique style of painting. The tour also includes breakfast and a traditional Warli lunch.

"We always talk about India being this place with thousands of cultures, hundreds of languages, and many religions, but Indians often don't know too much themselves about their heritage. We want to change that," conveys Mohit Bagadia, co-founder of SwadeSee India, organisers of the event.
