Ullu Digital – Presents yet another socio - odius web series PARO, it’s an eye opener to the dark facts of the society which is yet predominant in some parts of India, with the word we are all familiar with BRIDE TRAFFICKING. The name Paro is a term used for women / girls who are sold off just like cattle trading, a lucrative business for the agents, but the poverty-stricken girls end up getting pawed and heckled by the buyers. It’s a vicious cycle where the gender inequality, poverty, unemployment, illiterates has given rise to this barbaric trade of selling girls based on her age, looks and creed to agents.


 



 

The story is based on the life journey of Paro, whose bridegroom just after the marriage sells her off at a high price to another man. But to her ill fate, the buying and selling do not end here. Paro is resold multiple times just for money ends up finally in an old Delhi house of Mukesh. Mukesh has a nosy neighbour who is curious to know all about his marriage to Paro. On the Mooh dikhai an Indian tradition of welcoming the bride to friends and family, and are shocked to find PARO the very same sold girl.
