Karanvir Sharma from 'Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani' has a packed schedule even though the show went off air recently. He has been shooting for multiple projects that will soon release. In an exclusive conversation with midday.com, Karanvir spills the beans on all he has been up to and more.

Tell us about the projects you have been working on?

I’ve just finished shooting for my film, 'A Thursday.'  Now looking forward to the dubbing and I’ll have an idea of how wonderful it has turned out. It’s a film I will always be proud of, not only because my friend Behzad Khambatta though. I fit the role of Rohit Mirchandani, a criminal lawyer and I’ve worked with him during 'Azhar' too. I had also worked in his directorial debut 'Blank.' He thought I fit the part and I’m looking forward to the film, it’s a wonderful script. Besides that I’ve done a directorial debut for a music video that I’m excited about. It’s a cover of ‘Jo Tera Hoyega’ from our show ‘Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani’ that has got immense love from fans.

Any message for fans who loved your chemistry with co-star Debattama Saha?

It’s wonderful that fans bestowed that kind of love on our characters. The characters were wonderful, very human, relatable and coming of age. I have a camaraderie that is wonderful, which is rare for an ensemble cast. We are blessed to have understood each other’s rhythm, strengths and weaknesses. That’s what made our scenes come alive. I thank my fans and everyone from the team for the hard work.

How do you spend time off shoot?

I do everything a normal middle class guy does! I start my day by watering plants in my mini-garden in the balcony of my house in Mumbai. When I’m not around my family looks after the plants, it's therapeutic to be close to nature. I love gaming, listen to music, read books, watch movies. I try to cook or sometimes order in. I also like connecting with people, everything a normal guy does. Besides that one of my fans gifted me a guitar, so I’m really excited to learn to play it!

A talent that fans don’t know about?

Honestly my fans know everything! I like painting though I didn’t learn professionally. I do an okay job of it but I don’t judge myself on how good or bad I am at it.

Songs on your playlist at the moment?

‘Jo Tera Hoyega’ from ‘Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani’, besides that I like Jubin Nautiyal and Darshan Raval songs.

Which is your favourite corner in your house?

I have a lovely patio and as I speak to you I’m setting it up with a windchime my fan sent me. It completed the whole dynamic of the area, it’s got a lazy cushioning where I can gaze out of the window while reading a book. It's just my corner space away from all the craziness in the house. It’s my zen space.

How would you describe your style and what are your go-to outfits?

My style depends on my mood and the occasion. If it’s an award ceremony I wear a suit. I love suits and experimenting with them. I usually mix the formal attire with some casual elements. When Shaurya became a lover boy from the strict professor that he was, some of these elements came into my look on the show as well and I loved it. At home, I chill in my lounge wear pajamas or boxers and a T-shirt.
