Digangana Suryavanshi at home

In our special series Be My Guest, television and movie actress Digangana Suryavanshi takes us in her private space and gives us a peek into what went into making her beautiful, serene house. You’ve seen her in movies like ‘Jalebi’ and shows like 'Ek Veer Ki Ardaas- Veera,' now let’s meet the real Digangana at her Mumbai home.

What's your favourite spot in the house?
There are two - the mandir and our garden area. And both for the same reason, they are therapeutic.

How did you design this area?
I can’t take credit, it was my mum’s idea and dad put it together. I’ve been the audience.

How did you choose a colour scheme?
The garden is all green with some white, the living area is orange, my room is pink, mum and dad’s is golden. The kitchen is orange and white - so we had a colour scheme in mind.

What's your favourite decor item?
My stuffed toy - Berry, the bear, he fits in everywhere. Besides him, I like the antique door handles we have.

What's an ideal day-off at home for you?
I don’t like being idea of being idle, so even if I’m watching a film it’s with a certain agenda. There are very few films that I watch for no reason. Making a bunch of calls or writing...

What's the most important aspect while deciding about a house?
What my mum is going to think about it.

If one ever visits your home, the one thing they will be treated to...
Lots of food and Indian delicacies. We make sure everyone eats more than their appetite and if you don’t, I’ll feel offended. Chai, goes without saying.

The item one will always find in your pantry
Crunchies, farsan, bread, peanut butter and jam. My mum doesn’t like making Indian food out of the box, like readymade dosa batter. But it's always there in the house in case of an emergency.

A series you're currently binging on when at home
None.

Your favourite gadgets at home
Phone and airpods, laptop and camera.
