William Shatner to headline 'Star Trek' panel at Comic-Con

Los Angeles: William Shatner will headline an all-star panel of past 'Star Trek' actors with moderator Bryan Fuller at the Comic-Con in San Diego this month.


The panel will also feature Michael Dorn ('Star Trek: The Next Generation' and 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'), Brent Spiner ('Star Trek: The Next Generation'), Jeri Ryan ('Star Trek: Voyager') and Scott Bakula ('Star Trek: Enterprise'), reports variety.com.


Set to take place on July 23, 'Star Trek': Celebrating 50 Years is one of several events scheduled for Comic-Con to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 'Star Trek' franchise.


Among the other 'Star Trek'-related promotions at Comic-Con are an art exhibit, '50 Artists. 50 Years' in San Diego's Gaslamp District, and a partnership with MAC Cosmetics.

Other 'Star Trek' panels slated for Comic Con include 'Trek Talks: Science, the Smithsonian and 'Star Trek''; ''Star Trek': The Rodenberry Vault'; 'Trek Talks: 'Star Trek' and NASA Boldly Go'; ''Star Trek' the Official Starships Collection: Designing and Filming Starships'; and ''Star Trek': Five Decades of Comics'.

Paramount's upcoming feature film 'Star Trek Beyond' will also have its world premiere at Comic-Con.
