The Archies
Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies is touted to be a live musical showcase based on the comics of the same name. With Gully Boy fame Ankur Tewari at its helm, music aficionados are expected to be in for a treat as the makers promise an offering that is “bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves and everything young adult”.
Indian Disney princess
Filmmaker Gurinder Chadha is set to present the first-ever Disney Indian princess as she joins hands with screenwriter Paul Mayeda Berges to dig into books of Indian history for this musical. Princess Ananya is reportedly set to join other princesses of the production house, including Ariel, Elsa, Rapunzel, and Snow White, in what marks a big step towards Indian representation on a global platform.
Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat
Amit Trivedi takes charge of this musical by Anurag Kashyap, starring Alaya F and Karan Mehta. The romantic offering, Kashyap reportedly stated, stemmed from his conversations with his daughter. The eight-track album has already made its way to the Internet, and has yet again served as testimony of Trivedi’s phenomenal skills as a musician.

Lollapalooza India
The celebrated annual American music festival makes its India debut this year with a starry line up featuring artistes from India and abroad. Imagine Dragon, AP Dhillon, Prateek Kuhad, The Yellow Diary, Diplo, and Divine, among others, are set to perform.
