The actor took to his social media accounts and shared a throwback picture featuring Sushant. The snapshot also includes Ankita Lokhande posing with Sushant. Alongside the picture, Mahesh wrote, "The heavens must be smiling today but I miss u a lotttttt and will always celebrate this day."
Besides Mahesh, Sushant Singh's girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother, Showik, also recalled the late actor. Both of them shared pictures of Sushant along with a heart emoji.

The actor passed away on June 14, 2020, due to alleged suicide at his Bandra residence, which created a lot of controversies. Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut with 'Kai Po Che' and was known for his kind gestures, always treating his fans with utmost pleasure.
