Suniel Shetty grabs attention as he reacts to would-be son-in-law KL Rahul's knock against Sri Lanka

Star batter who is also the Vice Captain of the Indian cricket team, KL Rahul on Thursday made headlines when he smashed an unbeaten 64 runs against Sri Lanka in the second ODI match at Eden Gardens.

Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty and India's star batsman KL Rahul are one of the most cutest couples in showbiz. Popular for their online romantic shenanigans and mischiefs, the cricketer-actor couple has been a hot topic of the tinsel town ever since they made their relationship Insta official. While both Rahul and Athiya have remained tight-lipped about their relationship, the news of them tying the knot has been doing rounds all across the internet. Reportedly, the love birds, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty are all set to walk the aisle as bride and groom on January 23. 


Star batter who is also the Vice Captain of the Indian cricket team, KL Rahul on Thursday made headlines when he smashed an unbeaten 64 runs against Sri Lanka in the second ODI match at Eden Gardens. The incredible knock which came off 103 balls hugely helped India in clinching the victory. Not to mention, his incredible innings also included six boundaries. After winning the match, Rahul took to Instagram and delighted his fans by posting pictures of him along with his teammates who can be seen celebrating their win on the ground. 


Along with the pictures, he mentioned that Kolkata is done and the countdown for Thiruvananthapuram begins. From his fans to his fellows from the cricket community, people started dropping congratulatory messages in Rahul's comment section.

Like everyone, Athiya's father and Rahul's would-be father-in-law, Suniel Shetty couldn't stop himself from praising his would-be son-in-law, Rahul for smashing an incredible knock. 

The 'Dhadkan' actor dropped applause and red heart emoji as he stopped by to praise the prominent player and his would-be 'damad ji' in the comments section. While Suniel's lovely reaction to KL's post garnered everybody's attention, Athiya on the other hand, chose to only like the post. 

This is not the first time when Suniel has appreciated Rahul for his achievements, there have been many instances where Suniel has showered his love on the star cricketer by dropping sweet emojis. 

When Rahul rang into New Year with Athiya, he dropped photos of their New Year celebrations on Instagram where they can be seen sitting close to each other. Suniel reacted to the lovely pictures with by dropping a red heart emoji.
