Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his satisfaction with filmmaker Karan Johar's latest movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (RARKPK), which challenges stereotypes and patriarchy. Headlined by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film has garnered positive reviews and impressive box office performance, crossing Rs 50 crore in just five days since its release.

During the trailer launch of "Dream Girl 2," Ayushmann was asked about the success of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' and its impact on breaking gender stereotypes. The actor stated that he has always criticized toxic masculinity both on and off-screen and finds it heartening to see the audience embracing such progressive concepts.

Ayushmann praised 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' for addressing toxic masculinity and paving the way for further exploration of the subject in his upcoming film. He highlighted that his film, 'Dream Girl 2', is going to take the concept to the next level while offering a mix of fun and comedy along with its powerful messaging on social causes.

Dream Girl 2 is a sequel to Ayushmann's hit 2019 film Dream Girl, where his character earned money by impersonating a woman's voice during phone conversations with men. In the latest installment, Ayushmann's character will cross-dress as a woman, raising the stakes of the story. The film also features Ananya Panday.

Drawing inspiration from actors like Kamal Haasan in 'Chachi 420', Govinda in 'Aunty No 1', and Kishore Kumar, Ayushmann acknowledged that playing such unique characters has been an opportunity for actors across decades. He expressed delight in getting the chance to portray such a character in 'Dream Girl 2' and appreciated the film's lighthearted and fun approach to delivering its message.

Ayushmann humorously shared his aspiration to win both the best actor and best actress awards for his role in "Dream Girl 2." He also mentioned the challenges faced during the film's shooting, particularly filming in the scorching heat of Mathura while donning a wig and a woman's appearance.

As Ayushmann Khurrana continues to make impactful choices in his roles, his fans eagerly await the release of 'Dream Girl 2' to witness his compelling performance in this unique and socially relevant film. With his dedication to pushing boundaries and addressing pertinent issues, Ayushmann's contribution to the film industry continues to be commendable.
