Developing a bond with elephants has taught South star Rana Daggubati to love wildlife and the nature it is set in. All set for the theatrical release of his upcoming multilingual Haathi Mere Saathi, the actor credits the film to his co-stars — the elephants. “Once you are friends with the elephant, he or she is helping you do half of the things [in the scene].”

Living in the skin of the character who resides in the wild, Daggubati says that the time spent with the animals taught him a valuable lesson. “I’ve learnt a lot by living in the forest, so close to nature and the wildlife. The gentle giants teach us to give back to this planet, which we as humans have forgotten over time. This familiarity has changed me as a person,” says the actor of the experience of shooting the Prabu Solomon directorial venture. Also starring Pulkit Samrat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain, the film will release as Aranya in Telugu and as Kaadan in Tamil.
