The actress opened up to the paparazzi about her cervical cancer promotional stunt and said, "Mujhe publicity ki zaroorat nahi hai. Mei bachchpan se famous hoon. Ye aache cause keliye tha. Aaj desh bhar mei duniya bhar mei logon ko cervical cancer ke baare mei pata hai, bohot saare log dekh rahe hai, sun rahe hain, jaag rahe hain aur vaccination le rahe hai. That's a beautiful thing" (I don't need publicity. I have been famous since childhood. It was for a good cause. Today, people across the country and around the world are aware of cervical cancer. Many are watching, listening, and waking up to it, getting vaccinated. That's a beautiful thing.)
Poonam Pandey continued, "I think we should celebrate it. Kitne logon ki jaan bachi hai. Dekhiye sabse pheli baat aap sabh toh mein aapse kehna chahti ki maine koi galti nahi ki. I stand by it, maine jo bhi kiya hai bohot saari aurato ki jaan bachi hai. Aur agar aisa jhoot bolne se, kisi aurat ki jaan bachti hai toh main aise 100 baar marungi." (Many lives have been saved. First and foremost, I want to tell all of you that I haven't made any mistakes. I stand by it; whatever I have done, it has saved the lives of many women. If speaking such a lie or spreading such a lie can save a woman's life, I will die a hundred times.)
