In a sad turn of events, Mrs. Leelu Sidhwani, the mother of Don 3 Producer Ritesh Sidhwani, has passed away. The family shared the news this morning. She passed away on May 17. Several celebrities, including Malaika Arora, were seen visiting her in the hospital on Friday. Ritesh Sidhwani and his family were also seen at the hospital.

According to The Times Of India, Farhan Akhtar was reported to be the first to visit the family. Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and actor Chunky Panday were also seen offering their condolences. The official note reads, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing away of Mrs. Leelu Sidhwani on May 17 2024. Prayers will be held on May 18, 2024 at Quantum Park RG level at 3.15 pm. Cremation will be held at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium at 4.30 pm. Quantum Park address: RG Level, Union Park, Khar West.”

Ritesh Sidhwani and his family members, including Farhan Akhtar and his wife Shibani Dandekar, were among the first to visit the hospital. Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and actors Chunky Panday, Malaika Arora, and her sister Amrita Arora were also seen arriving to pay their last respects.

Reportedly, she was seriously ill and admitted to Hinduja Hospital.
Ritesh Sidhwani is a film producer. He is the co-founder of Excel Entertainment along with Farhan Akhtar. His first film as a producer, 'Dil Chahta Hai', won the National Award in 2001. Excel Entertainment now is one of the first major production companies. Their show Inside Edge (2017) was nominated for Best Drama Series at the 46th International Emmy Awards, followed by Mirzapur (2018) and Made in Heaven (2019).
