Box Office: Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Setu' falls flat on Sunday; collects Rs. 7.25 crore

On Sunday, Ram Setu collected Rs. 7.25 crore bringing the total to Rs. 56 crores in six days

Akshay Kumar's much-anticipated action-adventure film, 'Ram Setu', had a grand Diwali release in theatres. The film opened with a bang and raked in ₹ 15.25 cr on its first day. However, the Abhishek Sharma directorial saw a dip in collections in the days that followed. While it was expected for the film to gather momentum over the weekend, it saw a rather dull performance at the box office. 


On Sunday, Ram Setu collected Rs. 7.25 crore bringing the total to Rs. 56 crores in six days. Here's how the collections look at the domestic BO so far: 


Tuesday- Rs. 15.25 cr


Wednesday-  Rs. 11.40 cr

Thursday- Rs. 8.75 cr

Friday- Rs. 6.05 cr

Saturday- Rs. 7.30 cr

Sunday- Rs. 7.25 cr

Total: Rs. 56 cr

Meanwhile, Ram Setu which also stars Satyadev, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha is doing exceptionally well in mass pockets with the evening and night shows being sold out at most places. As family audiences are loving this mix of entertainment along with awareness, it is expected to witness further growth.

The story of Ram Setu revolves around an atheist archaeologist turned believer, Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha (Akshay Kumar), who must race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu before evil forces destroy the pillar of India’s heritage.
