Film's sequel to have Vinayak Pathak and Suresh Menon rib-tickle the audience over the cultural divide between people from the two regions

MUKUL Deora's Bheja Fry 2 this time brings out the north and south divide with the two leading cast members, Vinay Pathak (a north Indian in reality) and Suresh Menon (a south Indian), carrying off the real life divide to reel life too with their nonchalant fights, banter and ludicrous situational comedy.

Vinay Pathak and Suresh Menon will try to tickle some funny bones in the latest installment of Bheja Fry

Sambar vs Sarson
In many cases, the on-screen disputes were inspired by real off-screen arguments between the two leads.
Says a source in the film, "Vinay would deliberately forget which state Suresh came from in the south. In one such argument, Vinay improvised and called Suresh sambar ka bacha.

The argument escalated into a fight with colourful names flowing! Suresh called Vinay sarson ka saag while Vinay hit back saying what else can be expected from an idli sambhar? While the crew and Mukul stood around in disbelief, director Sagar Bellary decided to retain the names and the spirit of the north vs south fight in the film."

"Suresh loves the mayhem Vinay perpetrates on screen while Vinay loves the way Suresh responds to his mayhem. Their characters in the film too keep arguing all the time and resort to calling each other absurd names," the source said.

A different cast
Apart from Vinay who remains the simple, middle-class bumbling tax inspector, the remaining star cast has been replaced in Bheja Fry 2.

Sureshu00a0 plays the role of a south-Indian tax inspector and Bharat Bhushan's best friend, which was earlier portrayed by Ranvir Shorey. Rajat Kapoor's character of a media tycoon has been done away with in this film.

Adventure story

Mukul Deora said, "Bheja Fry 2 is a hilarious adventure story. Vinay and Suresh have taken the film to another level with their crackling on and off-screen chemistry. Both of them are natural comedians and there was never a dull minute on the sets with their fights and antics of constantly ribbing each other."
