Priyanka Chopra became Miss World in 2000 and truly went on to rule the world the moment the crown was placed on her head. So was the opportunity to be a part of the Hindi film world two years later. It’s hard to recall which film was her launchpad, Anil Sharma’s The Hero- Love Story of A Spy or Raj Kanwar’s Andaaz since both films were launched almost at the same time.

Since Sharma’s spy thriller released a month before, that technically remains her debut. However, it was Abbas-Mustan’s Aitraaz in 2004 when the actress truly arrived. She essayed the Bollywood version of Demi Moore ‘s seductively evil boss that traps her former flame and current employee into a physical liaison. Chopra channeled her oomph to perfection, and portrayed the wickedness of the character with the right doses.
Along the way, she went on to shine and rise with films like Don, Fashion, Dostana, Kaminey, 7 Khoon Maaf, Agneepath, and Mary Kom. Cut to 2016, she chanced upon the glorious opportunity to make her sensational debut in Hollywood with ABC Production’s Quantico. It was as no-holds-barred as it could get with erotica. And Chopra burned the screen with complete abandon. In 2018, she got hitched to American Singer Nick Jonas in a lavish ceremony where she nailed her bridal look.
The couple also owned a house in Beverly Hills that they later sold. Chopra’s journey from Bareilly to Beverly is truly inspiring. She’s now gearing up for her another Hindi film Jee Le Zaraa, a drama supposedly about traveling. It’s fitting she’s one of the leading ladies apart from Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Nobody has traveled across the globe more than she has.
