In the interview he shared how he came into this profession, he talked about his dreams turning into reality. He also revealed many unknown and unspoken facts about him. As a Director and Cinematographer, he deep- dived into the beauty of frames and emotions, emphasizing that he never wanted to miss the truth of the film, which came from its authenticity.
Dipen Patel talked about the process his work. He shared that worked on the film for nine months, with a significant focus on the pre-planning and pre-production of the cinematography. He spoke about how he meticulously detailed the colors, the choice of color palettes, and the tone of the film. One of the standout scenes in the film is the kitchen scene, where natural light from the window hits the lens of the camera, with a bright grained brush touch, which is one of the hardest shots to pull off for any cinematographer.
When we asked him about this particular scene, He was very keen and excited to share his knowledge and his thought process. He shared this information with the other cinematographers. Explained how he used a muslin cloth to cut the reflection and shadowing on the subject, making it crystal clear for the audience to see. Dipen was also asked about tracking the two subjects in one frame while the actor Dip and actress Andrea were walking during the fight sequence. This is one of the most challenging works of a cinematographer and Dipen has successfully done this and he has raise the bar for other cinematographers.
