IN PHOTOS: Gokhale bridge work picks up pace

The second girder of the Gopal Krishna Gokhale Bridge in Andheri has been levelled and the work of making the road on the girder has started. Earlier, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had reported that if the last pier on both approaches is completed by mid-February, then the project work can be completed by April-end (PICS/ASHISH RAJE)

A number of road overbridges above railway lines have been in the works for several years across the city and the suburbs.
