The Indian prodigy managed to beat the American player 3.5-2.5 after tiebreaks.“I am extremely proud that he has been doing phenomenally well in this World Cup and he qualified for the World Cup final. And what I hear is he is the youngest to do so. And also he is the only Indian to qualify for the final,” coach Ramesh told ANI. Praggnanandhaa’s coach is optimistic that the Indian Grandmaster will win the title. “I am very optimistic about Prags chances. He needs to get a good night’s sleep today, definitely, that will be very crucial. He is already feeling really good about himself, he knows that he is playing well, so there is not much to give advice to him. But, we just briefly discuss his opening strategies,” RB Ramesh said.Praggnanandhaa will face World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen for the title clash on Tuesday.
Ace Indian athlete Dutee Chand, the current national 100 m record holder, has received a four-year ban from the National Anti-Doping Agency for failing an out-of-competition doping test for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) in December last year. Reacting to it, Indian sprinter Dutee Chand on August 19 appealed the state government, Central Government and NADA to spare her this time. She further added that she has given several doping tests earlier where she was never detected positive.
In UEFA Super Cup 2023, Manchester City secured their first win by defeating Sevilla 5-4 in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw. The initial nine penalties were all successful, until Nemanja Gudelj’s shot hit the crossbar, granting City the victory.
