World Championship bronze medallist PV Sindhu said yesterday that she is ready to take on Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal in the Indian Badminton League (IBL) which starts from August 14.
The much-anticipated Sindhu versus Saina showdown will finally take place at the Siri Fort Sports Complex here as the Awadhe Warriors take on Hyderabad Hotshots in the second tie on Thursday.

“I’m ready to play against Saina and will try to give my best performance. Hope it will be a good show,” said Sindhu, who is an icon player of the Awadhe Warriors while Saina is the icon of the Hotshots.
“I’m thrilled to win the medal and my immediate target is to excel in the next two weeks at the Indian Badminton League.
It will be a tough competition and I’m looking forward to playing with all the great players,” Sindhu said from Guangzhou where she became the first Indian women’s singles player to win a medal, bringing home India’s only third medal ever at the Worlds.
