“The draft created because of the air conditioning system is the biggest challenge here. Because this is a very small stadium, the drift will make the game very fast.

I played here in the India Open four month ago. We face such situations in other parts of the world as well and we have to adopt to such situations very fast,” Awadhe Warriors’ Mathias Boe told MiD DAY.

Mumbai Masters’ Marc Zwiebler added: “Every stadium is different. We had a practice session here. The most difficult part of course is the wind because of air conditioning. But we all are professionals and we have to adopt to such situations accordingly.”

Meanwhile, some foreign players are also apprehensive about the spicy local cuisine.u00a0“Whenever you are in Asia, food is always something you have to be careful about,” said Banga Beats’ Carsten Mogensen.

However, one shuttler who seems to be unfazed by the cuisine is Germany’s Zwiebler who tweeted: “Finally got my Indian visa this morning and just arrived in Delhi. Already had my first butter chicken ... solid start for IBL.”u00a0
