Much was expected from MIG CC after their surprise 2-1 win over fancied Chembur Gymkhana in the semi-finals. MIG players Jitesh Padukone and Mahesh Aras could do little right before Pramod Ahuja and Naval Kumar took the opener 21-15, 21-14.
The second tie, however, was quite a thriller, though scores suggest otherwise. Amol Shah and Ayaz Billawala were at their best, mixing aggression with some deceptive dropshots as they quelled the challenge of Yogesh Padukone and Vilas Kuwala 21-18, 21-12.
