Striker Pratham Giri scored a brace as Ryan International ICSE School (Malad) recorded a comfortable 4-0 win over Podar International SSC School (Santacruz) in a MSSA boys U-16 Division-IV match at the St Francis D’Assisi ground, Borivli, on Thursday. Madhav Thirani and Trishnath Devar scored the other two goals for Ryan International.


In another match of the same group, Navy Children School (Colaba) beat Children Welfare School (Andheri) 1-0. Adarsh Raj (20th min) netted the winner for the Navy boys. Earlier in the day, St Xavier’s High School (Borivli) beat BKM High School (Chowpatty) 2-1 in a Group ‘B’ encounter. Sai Ghag scored both goals for St Xavier’s while Sourav Pal reduced the margin for BKM.

In the first match of the day, a Group ‘A’ encounter, Somaiya School (Vidyavihar) were a bit fortunate to beat Greenlawns School (BP Road) 2-0. Shivam Thakkar struck the first goal for Somaiya after which Greenlawns’s Neev Shah, in an attempt to clear the ball, was unlucky to deflect it into his own goal. Later, Jankidevi School (Andheri) beat Rustomjee International School (Dahisar) 1-0 with Ryan Shivani scoring the lone goal.
