ICC World Cup 2023 match 25  between Sri Lanka and England which is underway in Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium saw the dominance of Sri Lankan bowlers.

Angelo Mathews struck the first wicket of England opening batsman Dawid Malan for 28 runs. Mathews was named as the replacement player for the injured Pathirana. After the loss of the first wicket, England lost its important wickets in a quick session.

Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, skipper Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone none of them were able to score huge runs for England against Sri Lanka.

Lahiru Kumara struck the important wickets of England's captain Jos Buttler and hard striker Liam Livingstone for eight runs and one run, respectively. This match is extremely important for both of the teams in order to keep them alive in the ICC World Cup 2023.

Steady Jonny Bairstow scored 30 runs including 3 fours before getting into the hands of Dhananjaya de Silva. Sri Lankan players have displayed extraordinary skills with the ball.  Angelo Mathews marked his return to the Sri Lanka team with a wicket with just his third delivery in the ICC World Cup 2023 clash against England. The 36-year-old Mathews is playing just his fifth one-day international in the last three years.

Later, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali tried to stabilize England's inning in the middle. But Moeen Ali was later dismissed by Mathews.

Kasun Rajitha struck Bairtow's wicket and later went on to dismiss Chris Woakes.

Ben Stokes was the lone warrior fighting for England in the middle but was later dismissed by Lahiru Kumara for 43 runs. The end of this match will decide the chances of England's qualification in the tournament. Seems like the defending champion's chances are almost over in the tournament if they lose today's clash against Sri Lanka.
