Match 27 of the ICC World Cup 2023 between New Zealand and Australia is underway in Dharmshala's HPCA Stadium. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first.


New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson again missed the match due to his thumb injury. Stand by captain Tom Latham continues to lead the Kiwis in the clash against Australia, today.

The first inning of the match witnessed Australia's Travis Head's century. He scored 109 runs in just 67 balls before getting bowled in the right arm off break Glenn Phillip's over. His knock included 10 fours and 7 sixes.

Head registered the third fastest century by an Australia in World Cups. His ton came in just 59 deliveries. Veteran opener David Warner also smashed 81 runs in 65 balls including 5 fours and 6 sixes.

With the help of the opener's knocks Australia set a target of 389 runs for New Zealand to chase down. New Zealand's Glenn Phillips had three wickets under his belt.

Devon Conway and Will Young opened the inning for New Zealand. Conway and Young scored 28 runs and 32 runs, respectively and gave the Kiwis an elevated start from the beginning. They lost their wickets later on, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell came in to bat in the middle. The duo is playing risk free shots and are trying to stabilize the inning for New Zealand.

Adam Zampa is the leading wicket taker in the tournament so far with 13 wickets. Will he strike in today's match?

Daryl Mitchell has hit a century against India in the last match. Will he get his another ton, today? Australia are not letting the Kiwi duo take easy singles and is making them struggle for it. On the other hand, the batsmen are showing positive intent to chase the target.
