ICC World Cup 2023 cricket match 29 between India and England is being played in Lucknow's Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Squads:

India: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Suryakumar Yadav.

England: Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the inning for India. Shubman Gill scored nine runs and was dismissed by Chris Woakes. Virat Kohli came in to bat at No. 3 and was not able to score a single run and departed in David Willey's over. Kohli's wait for the 49th ODI ton continues.

The English bowlers are troubling Indian batsmen with their swing bowling. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer are trying to stabilize India's batting after the early scalps.

The defending champions England are struggling to secure their second win in the ICC World Cup 2023 under Jos Buttler's captaincy. The team is currently going through a rough phase with just one win in the tournament, Reece Topley was ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2023 due to a finger injury and has not being able to deliver performances consistently.

Rohit Sharma continues to play impressive strokes and is leading the team from the front. Shreyas Iyer pulls a wrong one which landed in the hands of Mark Wood. Ravichandran Ashwin failed to secure his spot in the team despite the match being played on a spinning track in Lucknow.

Can England be successful in breaking India's ICC World Cup 2023 winning streak? What plans Jos Buttler have against the host team is a point to be seen.
