Edwards finished with 5-58 as the West Indies reduced Bangladesh to 204-7 in their first innings at stumps after posting 355 on the second day.
The hosts now trail by 151 runs with just three wickets in hand. Kirk Edwards, 71 overnight, completed his second century in three Tests in the opening session as West Indies added 102 runs to their overnight total of 253-5 before being bowled out.
