India head coach Ravi Shastri had recently dismissed doubts about MS Dhoni's international future, saying that the team management cannot even think about removing the Ranchi stalwart considering his form and fitness. However, former national selector Mohinder Amarnath and a member of India's 1983 World Cup-winning team is not very sure about Dhoni's chances in the 2019 World Cup. "It will all depend on his performance. I never believe in tomorrow. If Dhoni plays well, I wish him all the luck. I hope he will play like this in future too. If he does, then he will be there in the 2019 World Cup," Amarnath told mid-day.

Amarnath, who played 69 Tests and 85 ODIs, is hopeful Virat Kohli and Co can complete another series whitewash. "The way India are playing, I hope they will beat Australia 5-0. The young team has talent, variations, quality and self-belief. All these qualities are necessary, but it will be a different challenge when they play abroad. Let's wait and see. I have faith in them," he added.

Asked about Mumbai's young batsman Prithvi Shaw, who recently scored a hundred in his debut, Amarnath, 67, said: "I have not watched him play but I am sure he must be a very talented kid. I hope his dreams come true."
