Belo Horizonte & Brussels: A Belgian man fell off a statue in Brussels while celebrating his country's 2-1 victory over Algeria in a FIFA World Cup Group H match on Tuesday.

The fan, whose identity has not been revealed, suffered a hard hit due to the fall and died of his wounds on Wednesday, reported EFE.
Meanwhile, in Brazil, a Belgium football fan was so overjoyed by his team's 2-1 World Cup win over Algeria that he has named his new-born baby after goal-scorers Marouane Fellaini and Dries Mertens, Belgian media reported.
The baby, born in Ghent, will be called Titus Marouane Dries, said the proud dad who added: "If we had scored five goals, he would have had five first names."
