US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House for the State dinner on Thursday. Along with PM Modi, Silicon Valley's biggest names descended on Washington as President Joe Biden sought to strengthen tech industry ties between the US and India. At the White House, corporate executives attending the event included Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, Pepsico CEO Indra Nooyi, Reliance Chariman Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Fashion Desginer Ralph Lauren, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadela, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Apple CEO Tim Cook' among others.

Ahead of Apple's second store launch in Delhi, CEO Tim Cook met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 19th, underscoring that the company shares his vision of "positive impact technology" and is committed to investing across the country. Tim Cook launched Apple's first official retail store in India at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai on 18th April. The Saket store is smaller than the Apple Store opened in Jio World Drive at Bandra Kurla Complex.

With a graceful ‘hello’, tech giant Apple is all set to open its first retail store in Mumbai on April 18. The first-ever physical retail outlet to be opened in India is a huge step forward for Apple and India in terms of expanding the service for its loyal customers. Taking to Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook greeted Mumbai with a huge ‘hello’ and shared a welcoming picture with his Mumbai team. The store with attractive architecture will open its gates to the public at 11 am in the morning. The outlet in Delhi, however, will open on April 20. The first online store in India entered the market in 2020 with plans to open stores soon after, however, the launch was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
