On September 8, security forces successfully stopped an infiltration attempt in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. Preparations are underway to burn the 171-foot tall effigy of Ravana at Shalimar ground in Haryana’s Panchkula ahead of the Dussehra celebrations on October 23. The 171-foot-tall effigy of Ravana has been built at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. It took about 3 months and around 25-30 labourers to build the effigy. Notably, Dussehra falls on October 24 this year. The festival marks the victory of good over evil.
