The earthquake that hit Morocco late last week has caused widespread destruction and devastation. The number of casualties, both fatalities and injuries, continued to increase on Tuesday as rescue teams worked tirelessly to extract people from the wreckage in villages that had been completely demolished. The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.8 and was followed by several aftershocks, left thousands of residents in need of essential supplies like food, water, and electricity, particularly due to large boulders blocking access to the steep mountain roads.
